First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to each one of you for successfully completing the UCI class on "Designing Solutions Using Generative AI." This is a significant milestone, and you should be proud of how far you’ve come in embracing and mastering one of the most transformative technologies of our time.
I was thoroughly impressed by the Capstone project presentations conducted by your teams earlier this week. The creativity, technical expertise, and focus on business value demonstrated by these generative AI-driven solutions were nothing short of remarkable. It’s truly inspiring to witness the practical application of your learning in addressing real-world business challenges, especially delivering use cases relevant to KPMG’s dynamic industry landscape. With each presentation, you’ve proven how much you’ve grown and improved in a short span of time.
However, as generative AI continues to evolve at a rapid pace, this is only the beginning of your journey. I encourage all of you to keep pushing forward—continue learning, experimenting, and refining your understanding of this groundbreaking technology. Staying informed and proactive will ensure you stay ahead of the curve and unlock even greater potential in this field. As you continue to build on your impressive journey, I wanted to share three key resources to help you deepen your learning and stay engaged in this rapidly evolving field.

I encourage all of you to join the Prompt Engineering group on LinkedIn. This community is an excellent place to connect with peers, learn from industry experts, and stay updated on future blogs and discussions related to AI advancements. It’s a vibrant space where you can exchange ideas and refine your understanding of prompt engineering principles, which are central to generative AI.
2️⃣ Explore Applied AI Institute Membership
By becoming a member of the Applied AI Institute, you’ll gain access to a wealth of specialized content, including insightful blogs, frameworks, and methodologies focused on applied AI techniques. This membership will give you deeper perspectives and help you stay aligned with emerging trends and tools that are shaping the world of AI.
3️⃣ Enroll in the 3-Part Generative AI Course Series
As your next step in advanced learning, AAII is offering a 3-part course series in Generative AI. These courses are crafted to provide advanced knowledge in areas like application development, strategic implementation, and further exploration of cutting-edge concepts. Depending on your interest and availability, you can enroll in one or all of these courses to continue building your expertise.
Mastering Prompt Engineering (Apr 22 & Apr 25, 2025): Learn foundational techniques like Chain of Thought and tools such as GPT-4o, Llama, and Mistral to build effective prompts.
Bridging Real-World Challenges with Generative AI (Apr 28 - May 9, 2025): Tackle industry problems using retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and more. Earn a foundation-level certification to validate your skills.
Generative AI Mastery: Build Advanced Workflows (May 12 - Jun 2, 2025): Develop agentic solutions using LangChain and LlamaIndex. Gain an intermediate-level certification upon course completion.
